Eucalyptus sideroxylon (with the dark trunk)
Location: 8th hole on the left side, 50 metres from the green.

| Origin & distribution: | The tree grows sporadically in Queensland, New South Wales and north eastern Victoria. |
| Height: | to 30 metres. |
| Uses: | A very popular ornamental tree. The wood is very dense and will not float. It is used as furniture timber. |
The bark is not shed annually. The dead bark accumulates and becomes fissured. The dense thick bark makes the tree fire resistant.
